Hästliden

Hästliden wind farm is the second and final sub-project of Markbygden Phase 3.

The project is under development and repermitting (as of August 2025). In 2018 Hästliden received the environmental permit to construct and operate wind turbines within the northwestern part of Phase 3. The wind farm will eventually be connected to Trolltjärn substation of Markbygden Net Väst AB. Since the permit limits the total height of the wind turbines to 200m, project company has applied for a new permit under the Environmental Code.

The application covers a maximum of 85 wind turbines in the Hästliden project area with a maximum total height of 300 meters. Prior to the application, Hästliden Vind has carried out several investigations and inventories. The environmental effects of the operation have been investigated, as well as measures to reduce the environmental impact of the operation. Questions and comments received from the consultation have served as a basis for the work on the environmental assessment, including the environmental impact statement, where, among other things, the issue of environmental effects and protective measures has been addressed.

The wind farm will be connected to Trolltjärn substation owned by Markbygden Net Väst AB.

The project company was transferred to Statkraft in 2023.
