Substation Trolltjärn connects MB1101 – Phase 2 und Phase 3 wind farms to Svenska Kraftnät’s 400kV transmission grid. The planned grid connection capacity of 1.700 MW will make Trolltjärn one of the most powerfull substations in Scandinavia. The respective grid company Markbygden Net Väst AB was established by Svevind AB in 2013, transferred to Enercon GmbH 2015 and acquired by Ellevio in 2024.
