Stor Blåliden

As a pilot project ahead of the large wind power project in Markbygden, the company has applied for and received a permit for a facility with eight turbines at Stor-Blåliden, north of Långträsk in Piteå municipality. The permit was granted back in 2010 and since then roads, power lines and two wind turbines have been built. However, technological development is rapid, and today there are significantly larger and more efficient turbines on the market. The company has therefore applied for a permit for turbines up to 250 m high. The Environmental Assessment Delegation in Norrbotten County issued a permit in April 2019. The decision became legally binding in June 2020. The project is in operation with 6 wind turbines manufactured by OEM General Electrics with a total rated power of 29.8 MW. The wind farm is connected to Dragaliden substation, owned by Dragaliden Net AB. The project is co-owned by SVEVIND Energy Group.
